 What we do 

The consumer bicycle market is perpetuated by the double-edged sword of innovation and the pressure to have brand new bikes. But what about the bikes that get left behind? Nine Lives Refurbished Cycles spawned from the desire to curb this trend and offer an alternative that reinvigorates unwanted bikes, bringing them up to modern standards, ready to serve a faithful new owner for many more years to come.

One person’s trash is another’s treasure. We see the value in all bikes and strongly believe that no bike should be left behind. That’s why all of our bikes are built from salvaged components, with perishables replaced as needed. We see through the dirt and muck to find quality parts and, with a bit of elbow grease, we can restore them back into perfect working condition. Occasionally new components are used when a recycled option is not available. The results are low environmental impact bikes, which look and feel great to ride.

Once, destined for the scrapheap, all of our bikes have been fully serviced and rebuilt using recycled parts. When necessary, and to ensure smooth, long-lasting function, we replace any worn components to ensure that the bike runs as if new.
